Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 (HASAWA) requires employers to provide:

safe equipment and safe systems at work;

a safe and healthy working environment;

safe handling, storage and transportation of goods and substances;

adequate welfare facilities;

instruction and training for employees.
